RHHS will be starting an open lunch policy on 11-23,lunch periods will be extended by 10 minutes,giving students a 45 minute lunch.This policy was granted due to “phenomenal test scores”over the past three years.

    Wal-Mart usually doesn’t build their stores within 75 miles of each other,but in rock hill,there making an exception and will complete building the the next super Wal-Mart in May of 2006.A petition is going around and a town meeting will be held an 3-15 over the construction of the Wal-Mart,here are there thoughts:Wal-Mart feels that since RH is such a ever expanding community,they will  be able to handle it,however,the community believes that it will disrupt local businesses.

     Saluda Trail principal,Mr.Fred George, called Ms. Mobley and informed her of a 6th grader named Napoleon Dynamite and that he’s been tested several times and has proven to be a genius.Because of this status,Mr. George would like him to move up to RHHS,a High school with the intention for Napoleon to get into Medical school earlier and so he”Doesn’t waste any time in middle school.

The Child Abuse Center in Baltimore released a survey yesterday showing the number of child abuse cases rose from 2.6 million to 2.7 million,and that three to four children die in the united states alone.Among the death toll numbers seventy-nine percent of deaths were among children under age 5,more than half the total of children who died were under age one.

Firefighters of the Los Gatos fire department arrived to the 2300 block of main street at 3:30 a.m. and found the two-bedroom home on fire,and quenched the fiery inferno  in five minutes.After the fire was out the Fire officials said the fire was ignited by a lit cigarette and a sofa and caused $76,000 in damages and gave the homeowner,Kathy Mahoney minor burns and her hands and feet after being awakened by the smoke and flames.
